Your frequently asked questions
Yes. PILOTIS kitchens are designed as open compositions, able to adapt to any outdoor space and to every way you like to entertain. What’s more, every module is supplied with a kit to secure the units together.
Kamado, griddle, sink, storage or prep space: each module naturally finds its place to create a kitchen that reflects you, and that continues to evolve with you.
Add a module, extend your worktop or integrate new cooking equipment as your needs change: the collection has been designed to last.
PILOTIS modules accommodate a range of cooking and prep equipment: kamado, griddle, sink. Each configuration is designed to combine aesthetics, effortless usability and the pleasure of cooking outdoors, around the fire.
For an electrical connection (lighting, outdoor socket, etc.), the modules feature dedicated access holes located at the bottom.
Yes. PILOTIS outdoor kitchens are designed for long-lasting outdoor use. The selected materials withstand rain, frost, temperature changes, heat and sea air. The ceramic worktop is exceptionally durable over time. The frame and legs are made from epoxy-coated steel to withstand the weather all year round.
As the Pilotis outdoor kitchen is infinitely modular, there is no dedicated protective cover; weather resistance is built directly into the materials used.
PILOTIS kitchens are made with materials chosen for outdoor use: the units and splashback are steel with an epoxy coating, the worktop is ceramic, and the hinges are stainless steel. A choice of robust materials that are easy to care for and built to last outdoors.
Yes. The modules have been designed for straightforward assembly that is accessible to everyone. Each element fits together naturally, ensuring a smooth and quick installation. The worktop is delivered already fitted.
Assembly can be carried out by one person.
The sink module is supplied with a stainless steel sink and the complete water supply and drainage system (1 mixer tap, 2 water inlet hoses, 1 trap, 1 waste hose), ready to be connected. The mixer tap is included as standard.
The stainless steel sink measures 39.5 × 23.5 × 42 cm (L × W × H). The module does not include an integrated shelf.
For connection, a hole is provided at the back and bottom of the module for the waste outlet.

How to choose the right outdoor kitchen for your griddle?
To avoid mistakes, you need to take these 5 points into account:
The type of griddle:
If you have a gas griddle, you will need a cabinet underneath your griddle to store the butane/propane bottle. If you have an electric griddle, you will need to stay close to a socket or adapt the outdoor wiring. Conversely, if your terrace is already fitted with electricity, you can opt for a simple module on which you place the electric griddle.
Budget and available space
Whether you have 5, 10, 20 m2 or more will directly impact the number of modules you can arrange in your kitchen.
In the same way, your budget will determine the size and material of your kitchen.
The functional elements you need in your outdoor kitchen with griddle:
- A fridge to keep drinks and food chilled and within easy reach.
- A sink so you can do the washing-up and wash your hands.
- Extra storage space with cabinets, cupboards and drawers.
- Lighting if you want to enjoy your outdoor kitchen in the evening.
The durability of the outdoor kitchen and its resistance to the elements
This will depend on the choice of material:
- Aluminium is highly resistant to corrosion and easy to clean, but it is prone to scratches.
- Wood is a durable material, but it requires regular maintenance to withstand the weather.
- Ceramic, which has now become a benchmark for outdoor use because it offers many advantages:
Its non-porous surface prevents any liquid from seeping in. It is UV-resistant without fading. It is also highly resistant to everyday scratches and is much easier to maintain for intensive outdoor use.
Orientation in relation to the sun
If your kitchen is exposed to the sun all day without a nearby tree to provide shade, you will need to think about a solution to cover it:
- Parasols and shade sails if your space is limited
- Effective awnings
- A pergola if your summer kitchen is large and you want a more durable solution
